COI for Life Sciences Job Opening

The COI for Life Sciences is now accepting applications for an Outreach Development Coordinator in Augusta at The Medical College of Georgia.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science from an accredited college or university with business or intellectual property experience and a minimum of three years work experience in a related field.
  • A degree in the fields of Business, Biological Science a healthcare profession or an advanced degree is preferred. Knowledge of MCG and experience in small business or entrepreneurship is also preferred.
  • Working knowledge of business development, economic development, entrepreneurial development state level interagency coordination.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

This position will educate the local/statewide public and business community about the opportunities and resources available at MCG, the Life Sciences Business Development Center, and the Center of Innovation for Life Sciences. The duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Helping expand the biotech business community through assisting entrepreneurs and relocating companies
  • Working with the tech transfer and Innovation Center staff to manage the business incubator, recruit staff, and technology transfer
  • Arranging and conducting informational meetings and tours of campus resources
  • Assisting existing incubator tenant companies and life science entrepreneurs; and interacting with other local and statewide economic development agencies

Shift/Salary

  • Shift: Days/M-F
  • Annual Salary Range: $44K – $51K Salary to be commensurate with qualifications & experience of candidate.
  • This position is supported by grant funds.
  • Recruitment Period: 12/01/09-Until Filled
